Coronavirus - We stand strong for animals

Being well prepared and always caring for animals

In these uncertain times, the strength and support our society has shown towards one another and to the animals in our lives has been truly heartening. As someone passionate about animals and their protection, we want to assure you that our mission at FOUR PAWS will always be to protect animals and we are doing everything to prepare for the times ahead.

We have hundreds of rescued animals in our 12 sanctuaries all over the world, and their care, comfort and safety remain our primary concern.

Our sanctuaries have put together a continuity plan for food, water and nutrition for all our animals, ensuring their well-being for an extended period. Our caretakers and sanctuary staff are prepared for all eventualities and we have made the necessary safety, maintenance and nutritional provisions for all animals.

As a supporter of FOUR PAWS, you have personally helped in the rescue of many of these animals. We hope that you will continue to follow their journeys and watch them thrive in their new lives!

You can see regular updates from our sanctuaries on our social media channels - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter - with lots of videos of animals you’ve helped rescue enjoying life in a FOUR PAWS sanctuary.

Animal protection projects and rescues
All our animal protection projects and programmes are ongoing and will continue, always following the measures imposed by the authorities. Our highest priority is the well-being of our animals and staff, and we have implemented measures to keep the projects running, while keeping our team safe.

Due to movement restrictions and travel bans in many countries, animal rescues are on hold until further notice. However, our teams are continuously monitoring the situation, planning rescues and are ready to jump into action as soon as travel bans are lifted.

Our commitment to animals and to you
We assure you that FOUR PAWS is fully committed to the wellbeing of our animals, our team, our partners and collaborators, and our supporters. We will continue to adopt all necessary measures to continue our work and the protection and care of animals in need.

We hope that you and your loved ones (furry and non-furry) are healthy and we thank you for your care for animals in need around the world and your ongoing support, especially in these challenging times. Our global community has stood strong together for animals for the past 32 years, and we will continue to do just that.
