Bear caged in a horrible zoo

support bears suzie & bubloo's recovery

We rescued former 'dancing bears' Suzie and Bubloo from a rundown Marghazar Zoo in Pakistan, where they were found isolated, apathetic and in poor conditions. Now their journey to recovery begins, but it will take a long time for them to heal from their wounds. Suzie has a badly infected chest wound, and both have had all their teeth removed to prevent them from retaliating against their oppressors and attacking their spectators. Will you help support their recovery?

About bears Suzie and Bubloo

These bears are only about 17 years old, but both are missing most of their teeth. They were used in the past as 'dancing bears' performing in front of public audiences. The animals were found isolated and apathetic. Immediately after our arrival, our veterinarian expert had to execute a lifesaving surgery on Suzie. Weeks after fighting to improve their future, we were finally granted a court order, which gives us the opportunity to transfer them to Al Ma'wa Wildlife Reserve, a partnership sanctuary between Princess Alia Foundation and FOUR PAWS in Jordan. There, we will build a new 5,000 m2 bear enclosure to ensure the best animal welfare standards for these poor animals.
