Can I volunteer for FOUR PAWS?

What controls are FOUR PAWS subject to?
Our work is based on transparency.
The FOUR PAWS balance sheet is audited annually by an external, certified accountant in accordance with the Austrian Commercial Code. The current annual report can be viewed online on our international website.

Is FOUR PAWS Australia tax deductible in Australia?
Unfortunately, donations to FOUR PAWS are not currently tax deductible in Australia. Regrettably, it is very difficult for many animal welfare organisations to receive deductible gift recipient (DGR) status in Australia, unless they are specifically working on issues around endangered species or operating an animal welfare-based service such as an animal shelter. This means that animal welfare organisations such as FOUR PAWS, which focus on recognised and legitimate projects for the betterment of animals including animal welfare advocacy, global animal rescue missions and supporting wild animal rescue sanctuaries around the world, do not receive DGR status.
We will continue to explore possibilities to be able to obtain this status from the government and will keep our supporters posted on any progress. We are also so grateful for the compassion and kindness of our Australian donors who continue to support our animal protection work, to help us to reveal animal suffering, to rescue animals in need, and protect them.

I am organising a fundraising event for FOUR PAWS. Where can I get information and who do I contact?
Please contact the FOUR PAWS office where you will be holding the event so that our colleagues can provide you with the appropriate information for your country. Please do take into account that FOUR PAWS has a 'no-promotion/no-advertising' policy regarding events and activities that are not our own.
You are more than welcome to use our Facebook crowdfunding tool as an easy way to organise a fundraising event and to support us at the same time.
I have a company (or work for a company) and would like to partner with FOUR PAWS by donating X% of my product sales. With whom should I talk to?
We thank you for support! Due to legal restrictions and restriction of usage of logo, FOUR PAWS does not partner in these types of actions. What is the best way to support your work?
The best way to support our work is to share our posts and campaigns on Facebook, Instagram and newsletters to friends and family and donate to our appeals. Spreading the word and helping us receive more donations are the best way you can support us.
